Let’s be real, one of the best things about summer ending and fall begining is that it marks the start for boot shopping season. And of course all things pumpkin. Okay, so maybe there are a million great reasons to be excited about summer ending, but boot shopping is pretty high up on the list. So to help you kick off your boot search, I have tracked down a few of my favorite boot buys. I will be covering my most worn boots from previous years, my favorite boot purchases this far in 2017 and also how I would style each pair. The key to great boot buys is something that is
1.) Durable & will last more than one season-
If you’re spending a good amount of money you want those bad boys to last.
2.) Comfortable – No one wants their feet to be killing them all day due to a bad boot purchase.
3.) They make you feel confident-
The best shoe is a confident shoe. You want to feel A+ when you’re wearing them. If you don’t they aren’t doing their job properly and you should probably consider exchanging them for a boot that will.
My Most loved-The block heel boot:
The perfect block heel boot is an essential when you’re on a boot search. Especially if you’re more on the petite side like me. If you have to pick one pair of boot/ booties to purchase this year choose these. The chunky heel creates a dressier look that is easily paired with a cute pair of denim or a sweater dress for the cooler temperatures. But, you can also pair them with some denim shorts and a cute blouse and be ready for the warmer temperatures as well. These specific boots are my absolute favorite! They are currently on sale for 43% off totaling in at $89. Which is a bargain for great booties that will last. I purchased these last year from Splendid and they still look and feel amazing! I own them in both black and the Whiskey color. I am SO tempted to also buy the navy and wine options as well.
Over The Knee Boot:
Easily another most loved boot of mine. I honestly prefer the OTK style over the riding boot. I know for most shorter gals its the opposite. However, I always have the hardest time finding the perfect pair of riding boots. They always hit my at a weird height. AKA right in the middle of my knee! This makes it incredibly hard to sit and even walk, anything that involves knee bending. I own two different OTK styles.
The First Style: Steve Madden Gabbie Thigh High’s:
(Excuse the scuffs I clearly love these and wear them a TON) The lower heel add extra comfort and gives a bit of a more casual look, which I love! They are also made of this amazing stretch suede fabric that keeps them super comfortable and allows for easy knee bending.
The Second Style: Melrose and Market Stacey OTK:
These OTK boots are probably my favorite of the two. Mainly because of the block heel, which gives me the extra height I sometimes think I need. I purchased these on sale ($89) last month and can already tell they are going to be my go-to boot this fall. A must have item in your closet this fall and winter.
Probably the most loved bootie by anyone who lives in a place with warmer temperatures. The mule bootie is a go to boot for any girl, year around. Seriously one of the best booties. Easily paired with denim jeans, shorts or skirt. Also easily paired with a cute dress as well. Really the options are endless with the adorable mule booties.
I know prints are not every girls thing, but they should be! They can easily spice up any outfit. Throw on a cute oversized sweater, your favorite pair of denim and these bad boys and your outfit is ready to go. Even if you’re not into leopard you could get a cute pair of booties with a floral or stripe print. If you have been following along for a while now you have probably caught on to my love for leopard print. So, of course when I saw these in Nordstrom there was no questioning if they were coming home w/ me.
The Neutral bootie:
I love a good neutral booties. I have been loving both these tan and black ones featured below lately, they hit right below the ankle. Making them the perfect slip on bootie to wear with skinny jeans or a casual dress for fall!
I hope this seasonal boot guide helps break down your boot shopping as you search for the perfect pair of boots!
