I posted my yummy homemade cinnamon & peppermint mocha on Insta-Stories a few days back and got a ton of messages asking for the recipe! This coffee recipe is SO yummy and is super simple, it is definitely my #1 go to coffee for the holiday's!
For those of you who don't know, I am a coffee fanatic! I could drink coffee all day every day! I love it black but I also love the fun holiday flavors as well.
A dream of mine as always been to open up a local brew house. Not only would I serve coffee and homemade baked goods but I would also love to serve + create my own beer/ coffee blend.
I have the name, location and flavors all picked out. Now I just need the money to actually make this dream of mine a reality.
It is kind of a funny story how this all came about.
As I previously said I am a huge coffee lover and have always wanted to open up my own local brew house. I brought the idea up to my dad one night and he said he had actually thought about doing something similar but with beer. We talked through our ideas for the space and thought it would be pretty neat to combine our ideas. I would love to be able to travel around the world and find the best tasting beans and create my own blend, along with creating my own brew for beer. However, taking months off of work to travel the world in search of the best is not feasible right now. So I'll keep on dreaming for now!
Now for the yummiest cinnamon & peppermint mocha recipe:
1/2 cup of espresso
3 tablespoons powdered baking cocoa
3 tablespoons of warm water
2.5-3 tablespoons of peppermint mocha creamer or your desired creamer amount (do not use peppermint extract)
4 ounces of your favorite espresso blend
12 ounces steamed milk (whole milk works best)
(TBH- I don't normally follow the exact measurements, I normally just wing it.)
1. Start by choosing your favorite espresso blend and start the brewing process.
2. Combine 2 Tbsp of baking coco with 3 Tbsp or warm water (create a syrup like consistency).
3. Steam milk to make froth- I use this froth machine!
4. Mix your espresso of choice with the baking coco/water in your coffee mug.
5. Crush a few peppermint candies or you can purchase a bag of crushed peppermint.
7. Pour your froth on top of the espresso
8. Top your froth off with a dash of cinnamon and your desired amount of crushed peppermint
And Voila! You've got yourself the yummiest Cinnamon-Peppermint Mocha!
